Intel Atom N450 – Based Netbooks Vs Older Entries

Intel has just launched its new Atom N450-based mobile platform, has designed a new micro-architecture for the use of netbooks coming.

Unlike the previous generation of netbooks nuclear N270/N280-powered,-new mini-laptop will offer greater battery life and a reduction of cost and overall footprint.

Here's how. The current Netbook, and most of them are based on Intel technology, has a separate main processor, a separate graphics chip, and separatedAdministration Controller chip RAM, hard drive, USB ports and others. On the other hand, packs the new platform for the processor, graphics and memory controller on a single piece of silicon. Therefore, the new netbook able to lower prices, lower energy consumption is estimated to have 20% improvement in battery life, and perhaps less the case since the mother netbook is smaller by about 60 percent.

Another difference is an operating system. The new netbooknormally supplied with Windows 7, while the older Windows XP.

Other features of the next generation of netbooks are substantially identical to those of the previous version of one or two years. Their small screens (up to 10.2 inches) and has sold up to 1 GB of RAM, and up to 250 GB of hard drive capacity. Consumers can also expect 3 -, 6 -, and rarely 9-cell battery, webcam, three USB ports, VGA output, HDMI output and capacity of HD video on some models, memoryReaders and others.

The new Atom N450 netbooks scheduled for early January 2010.
