Create a table of contents with Adobe InDesign2

Adobe InDesign2 can create a list of articles printed on a single document or multiple documents, which are connected to each other.

If you want to create an index on a single document, a blank page to be inserted at the beginning. If you have plans to build a table of contents for a book to create a new document, the new document, file, and open book file of the book.

Choose Layout> Table of Contents.

Choose a Custom Style TOCHave previously created or select the style of the default folder. Standard Directory of style, the style has been selected for inclusion in the index.

If you want to change the settings, you can do this with the Table of Contents dialog box. You can choose a standard settings TOC.

If you use your changes, click OK.

The loaded text icon appears. Place the stories when appropriate.

Do not connect the story with others TOC FrameText frame, when all the changes to your existing images and all other frames, but replace it with thread.

To update the TOC, open the document contains. You change the story directly TOC! Instead, edit the document with the title, headings and other elements that appear in the TOC. If you change the story, you will lose all the updates you've done, if ever an update via TOC Refresh command in the menu TOC.

ChangeChange the formatting, paragraph styles verify the impression that the voices. You can also change the appearance of page numbers by clicking on Edit in the section numbering in the document or a book. The style is also an evidence of changing the look of the TOC, and allows you to add or delete the paragraph styles as desired.

When you have finished amending the table of contents, select the layout Update> Index. The table will be updated on content changesmade.
