Athlon 64

For a long time the progress of Intel and AMD processors in the market for popularity, but in the end to end which had been leader. With the release of their Athlon 64 processors with computing capability for 64-bit, has slowly but inexorably towards the market back from Intel.

The Athlon 64 processors for a long time and have pushed themselves to the market leader in computer power. As we know, with processor speeds much slower than Intel, AMDthus runs cooler. This has eliminated the need for expensive refrigeration, and opened the door for overclocking.

Although AMD hit the target from its 64-bit processor, Intel has a long time ago, are not silent. Have been constantly upgrading their line for speed and efficiency. This is clearly with their FX processors and dual-core processors.

FX processor series is King of the Hill on AMD. They arelargest processor that is available. They show the amazing speed with CPU-intensive tasks like video encoding and games. They also show high performance for the work of the database, and the various aspects of computer science.

The dual-core processor line is the ultimate multi-tasking. Give power of two processor queues, while still able to fit in a single processor motherboard. Although these processors are essentially two processors in one, arerather pricy and may not be everyone cup of tea.

Intel has tried to strike back by forming an alliance with Apple. All Macs are now available with Intel processors. If this is profitable for Intel only time will tell.

With increasing competition from AMD, this can mean only increase the benefits for consumers. Strengthened when the war between Intel and AMD, consumers will benefit from lower prices and higher quality in their processors.
