Network Wiring Standards

There are two wiring standards for network cabling. T568A and T568B are the two standards for the RJ-45 or 8-position modular connector wiring standards document permitted TIA/EIA-568-A. The only difference between T568A and T568B (also known as Weco, AT & T 258A) is that the orange and green wire pairs (pairs two and three) are exchanged. To decide how to use cables pattern:

1. If the specification of work called a model of wiring?

2. If/ End-user customers have a preference for T568A or T568B?

3. Patch panels have already been purchased for the work? If so, who will probably be either T568A and T568B. The connectors are on the same pattern as the panels are interconnected.

4. If you add to an installation of wiring? If so, should the new lines in accordance with the existing wiring.

When you use one of the factors above apply, either T568A or T568B. It 'important to ensure that the workstation connectors and patchThe panels are connected to a single model. T568B is commonly used in commercial installations, while T568A is operated in a residential area is widespread. For these reasons, almost always for the facilities we T568B unspecified described.

One advantage is that the majority of network equipment currently on the market have wiring diagrams for either T568A or T568B. Because the only difference is the shift by two pairs of wires, is fairly easy for the producers of both standards on their hardware for printing. ForFor example, for a patch panel is labeled for T568A/T568B usually have a color-coded wiring diagrams above and below the current Punchdown. You will be branded as a rule, both T568A and T568B others. This type of hardware is preferred by installers for its flexibility.
